Minimum 3 years HVAC installation experience Potential for Full-Time Employment About the Position Big Air Heat & A/C is looking for an experienced HVAC lead installer who takes genuine pride in their work. We are not looking for someone who simply gets the equipment running and moves on to the next job. We want an installer who cares about doing things correctly, follows proper installation procedures, and leaves behind an installation they are proud to put their name on. We want someone proud of the quality of their work. For the right person, there is an opportunity for this to develop into a full-time position. What We Provide We want our installers to be able to show up prepared to work rather than spending their morning tracking down equipment and materials.

Big Air will provide:

All HVAC equipment Standard installation materials and supplies Equipment and materials organized for the job Delivery of our installation trailer to the jobsite A helper, if needed Consistent installation opportunities as work is available An organized office and service team supporting the job If you already have a helper you prefer working with, we are also open to you bringing your own. Compensation will be adjusted accordingly. Installer is expected to have their own professional HVAC installation tools and equipment. Responsibilities You should be capable of independently completing residential HVAC installations from start to finish, including: Residential split-system and package-unit changeouts Heat pump and straight-cool systems Standard and inverter equipment Air handler installation and proper equipment setup Brazing while flowing nitrogen Pressure testing Proper evacuation and micron verification Refrigerant charging and system commissioning Electrical and low-voltage wiring Thermostat installation and setup Condensate drain installation and testing Float switches and required safety devices Plenum and duct modifications as required Equipment strapping, sealing, leveling, and securing Static pressure and system performance verification when applicable Complete startup and commissioning Clean, professional-looking finished installations Jobsite cleanup Professional communication with homeowners Additional compensation may be provided for installations requiring work beyond a standard changeout, such as significant duct or plenum modifications, difficult-access installations, equipment relocation, lineset replacement, or other additional work. What We're Looking For We care about the details. Copper should look clean. Wiring should be neat. PVC should be properly pitched and professionally installed. Equipment should be level and secured correctly. Plenums and connections should be properly sealed. Proper brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, drainage, and commissioning procedures should never be skipped to finish a job faster.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of HVAC installation experience EPA 608 certification Ability to independently complete and commission residential HVAC installations Own professional HVAC installation tools Strong understanding of current installation practices and code requirements Dependable and reliable Clean record Professional appearance and communication Ability to represent our company well in customers' homes Strong attention to detail Pride in workmanship About Big Air We're a local HVAC company that puts a heavy emphasis on quality workmanship and customer service. Our customers expect a high level of work from us, and we want our installers to have the time and support necessary to provide it. Our jobs are prepared ahead of time, equipment and materials are supplied, and our installation trailer can be delivered directly to the jobsite. We have a good team, happy customers, and an office that works to keep jobs organized. We are not interested in pushing installers to rush through as many changeouts as possible. We would rather have an installation done correctly, cleanly, and professionally the first time.
