Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and building automation system controls to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment. Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, electrical connections, and mechanical components in compliance with safety standards. Repair plumbing fixtures related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of refrigeration units. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to repair or replace faulty parts efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout service visits. Experience Prior experience working as a service technician or in construction with a focus on HVAC maintenance or installation. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems. Familiarity with schematics, building automation systems, electrical diagnostics, and plumbing is highly desirable. Knowledge of HVAC design principles and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required; additional certifications related to electrical systems or appliance repair are a plus. Experience operating hand tools, electrical testing devices, and maintenance equipment confidently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
