$30.00-$45.00/hour (based on experience)

HOURS:

8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

ASAP Job Description:

We are seeking skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC Installation Technicians to join our team installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning commercial HVAC systems throughout Central and Southern Maine. This temp-to-hire position will support New England Mechanical Services' Gorham, ME Operations Group, servicing a variety of commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will have commercial HVAC experience, strong communication skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the flexibility to respond on short notice when needed.

Responsibilities:

Install, replace, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems

Install commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and gas-fired equipment

Perform equipment startups, testing, and system commissioning

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs

Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and OSHA safety regulations

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications

Maintain accurate service and installation documentation

Interact professionally with customers while maintaining a clean and professional appearance

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Work overtime and weekends as needed based on business demands

Respond to emergency service requests when required

Requirements:

State of Maine Gas License (Required)

EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)

Commercial HVAC systems experience

Clean driving record

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to respond on short notice when business needs require

Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to occasionally lift and move 51-100 lbs.

Ability to lift heavy equipment with assistance when required

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, crouching, climbing, and reaching overhead

Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, rooftops, and stairways

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and dusty environments

Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary

Must have close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision with the ability to adjust focus

Additional Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must pass drug and background screening
