Job Title:
Industrial HVAC Technician Contract:
3-months (Contract to Hire)
Shift:
Mon-Fri, rotating weekend 12 hour shift schedule every 7 weeks or so.
Note:
Senior HVAC Technician Industrial sized equipment. Experience in steam boilers up to 37.5 mill BTUs, water boilers up to 6 mill BTUs, chillers up to 1000 ton. Large components. Not looking for residential experience.

Technician What this job involves: This position oversees and monitors the operation of critical building systems including refrigeration, emergency backup systems, boilers, and related mechanical / electrical equipment. The role requires analyzing system operations, troubleshooting problems, performing preventative maintenance, and adjusting the equipment to ensure proper equipment function. This position is primarily first shift Monday through Friday with on-call and weekend rotation coverage and requires the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate documentation and communication with supervisors. What your day to day looks like: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair service work on site utility systems such boilers, chillers, cooling towers, softeners, pumps, motors, valves, and all associated distribution systems. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair service work on site utility systems such Air compressors, Breathing Air System, Air handling units, and Roof Top HVAC units. Conduct routine tests and inspections on support equipment including water testing, Chemical inventories, Brine levels etc. Performing preventive maintenance and repair on other operational equipment as required. Assisting other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building systems and equipment. Identifying, utilizing, and operating tools and equipment associated with mechanical systems while completing JHA and work permits. Documenting all work performed in Computerized Maintenance Management System and communicating regularly with Supervisor and Chief Engineer. Ordering materials, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and ensuring proper storage of hazardous materials. Add the following to
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Chilled water systems with tonnage greater than 500 Tons of cooling. Experience with Steam Boiler systems 9,500 HP (32.5MMBTU) systems. Experience with Water Boiler systems up to 1.8
MMBTU Pay:
$42.00 - $47.00 per hour
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
