About us Up&Up owns and manages single-family rental homes in the St. Louis area, Kansas City, Atlanta, and Indianapolis. When a resident's AC quits in August, we are the ones who answer. We are hiring our in-house service technician in St. Louis. The role You'll run HVAC service calls across our St. Louis homes — diagnose, repair, and get the resident comfortable the same day. Most days that is a no-cool call, a capacitor, a contactor, a condensate line, a blower motor, a thermostat, a charge check. Between calls you'll handle the other things that break in a rental: a running toilet, a dead disposal, a punch item on a home being turned. You are not on a truck selling replacements. What you'll do Run HVAC service calls: diagnose no-cool and no-heat, repair what is repairable, and say plainly when it isn't. Handle refrigerant properly — recovery, charge, leak search — under your EPA 608.

Seasonal maintenance across the portfolio:

filters, coil cleaning, condensate treatment, startup and shutdown. Call the replace decision / install new systems Pick up routine plumbing and appliance repairs between HVAC calls — fixture swaps, drain clears, disposals, supply lines. Knock out punch items on homes being turned so a home isn't waiting on a vendor trip. Carry the after-hours phone on a rotation during heating and cooling season. It is paid. Log every call, photo, part and hour in our app What we're looking for 5+ years of residential HVAC service. You have diagnosed a system alone on a roof in July and gotten it right. EPA 608 certification — Universal preferred, Type II minimum. If you hold Type II we will pay for Universal. You can tell us why you replaced the part you replaced. We would rather have a slower tech who is right than a fast one who guesses. Comfortable being handy beyond HVAC — basic plumbing and general repairs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Able to lift 50 lbs, work in attics and crawlspaces, and work a 5-day week plus paid on-call rotation. A St. Louis County or City mechanical license, or hours toward one, is a strong plus — we will pay for the exam and support the path.
