Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician D.J. Wagner is seeking a lead-level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to take ownership of complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. You will be relied on for sound field judgment, clear customer communication, and high-quality solutions—not pressured into unnecessary replacements.

Southeast Pennsylvania What You'll Do Own complex service calls from diagnosis through resolution across commercial rooftop units, air-handling equipment, hot-water boilers, pumps, water-source heat pumps, and variable-frequency drives. Use advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to isolate root causes, avoid repeat callbacks, and deliver durable, cost-conscious repairs. Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance, assess equipment condition, and identify corrective work before failures disrupt customer operations. Serve as a trusted technical resource by explaining findings, repair options, priorities, and costs clearly to customers and facility contacts. Interpret wiring diagrams, sequence-of-operation information, manufacturer documentation, and technical support guidance to resolve difficult equipment issues. Accurately identify and source parts through approved vendors. Complete detailed service documentation and invoicing promptly using a company-provided tablet. Model safe, professional field practices and share technical knowledge with other technicians when needed. What You Bring Five or more years of commercial HVAC service experience with demonstrated success independently diagnosing and repairing challenging system failures. Strong proficiency with split systems, rooftop units, gas-fired equipment, water-source heat pumps, and boilers. Advanced electrical troubleshooting ability, including confident use of meters, wiring diagrams, control circuits, and sequence-of-operation information. Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and building automation systems is highly valued.

•Current EPA Section 608 certification and a valid driver's license. A consistent record of safe work, accurate documentation, dependable follow-through, and professional customer communication. Ability to work safely on A-frame and extension ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and participate in an on-call rotation. Self-directed judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, dispatch, and fellow technicians.
