Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional climate control solutions across commercial and residential settings. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, ductwork, and mechanical systems in accordance with schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan, including cleaning, filter replacement, calibration, and system inspections. Troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; identify root causes of equipment failures. Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, fans, electrical wiring, thermostats, valves, and refrigeration parts to restore system functionality. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, building automation systems (BAS), and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance visits for clients to ensure HVAC/R systems operate reliably; document all service activities thoroughly. Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs or system upgrades clearly and professionally. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling; maintain proper documentation of refrigerant recovery and disposal procedures. Assist in the installation or upgrade of electrical systems associated with HVAC equipment; perform electrical diagnostics as needed. Support field service operations by maintaining tools and equipment in optimal condition; utilize hand tools effectively for mechanical repairs. Qualifications Proven construction experience with HVAC system installation or repair projects. Service technician experience working on a variety of HVAC/R equipment in commercial or residential settings. Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, building automation systems (BAS), and HVAC design principles. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing connections, mechanical systems repair, boiler operation, and refrigeration processes. Proficiency with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters; ability to troubleshoot electrical systems accurately. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair including air conditioning units, ventilation fans, ductwork, pumps, and controls. Knowledge of HVAC system maintenance best practices to ensure long-term performance reliability. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for precise troubleshooting and installation tasks. Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; familiarity with building automation systems is a plus. Mechanical aptitude complemented by experience using hand tools for mechanical systems repair. Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments while adhering to safety standards.
