Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge. Diagnose issues related to electrical systems, plumbing connections, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical components; execute repairs efficiently. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to facilitate accurate installations and repairs. Conduct system testing post-installation or repair to verify proper operation; adjust controls as needed for optimal performance. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all activities performed on each project or service call. Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and building automation systems. Service technician experience working with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, or appliance repair is highly desirable. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with HVAC/R standards including EPA certification for refrigerant handling; valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred. Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; experience with electrical systems diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters is a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to property maintenance and general building systems is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
