Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional climate control solutions across commercial and residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems following schematics and HVAC design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters. Conduct comprehensive system diagnostics for electrical systems, refrigeration units, ammonia refrigeration, plumbing connections, and building automation systems. Diagnose complex mechanical problems involving HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), boilers, appliances, and other mechanical systems; execute repairs promptly. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all work performed. Assist with HVAC system installation projects from planning through commissioning while adhering to safety standards and EPA regulations for refrigerants. Support property maintenance efforts by inspecting mechanical systems regularly and recommending upgrades or replacements as needed. Operate a company van safely to transport tools and equipment between job sites efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with construction experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including refrigeration, air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation fans, and building automation controls. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; ability to perform appliance repair when necessary. Ability to perform HVAC system repair and maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with electrical systems diagnostics essential. Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) industry standards and building codes. Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred.
