You will work on complex equipment such as rooftop units, VRF systems, VAV systems, chillers, and commercial refrigeration, using strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to ensure reliable operation for a wide range of facilities. The position is ideal for a seasoned technician with 3-5+ years of experience who enjoys field work, solving complex problems, and working independently in commercial environments. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, split systems, and large-scale equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced electrical and mechanical issues across HVAC and refrigeration systems. Service and maintain VRF systems, including Mitsubishi City Multi and Daikin, ensuring proper operation and efficiency. Inspect, service, and repair VAV systems, including dampers and associated controls. Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial chillers, with a preference for experience on reciprocating chillers. Diagnose and service walk-in coolers, freezers, and commercial kitchen equipment such as reach-in coolers and prep tables. Conduct preventive maintenance to identify risks, extend equipment life, and ensure optimal system performance. Respond to and complete emergency service calls in a timely, professional, and efficient manner. Service exhaust hoods and make-up air systems to maintain proper ventilation and air balance. Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including performing warranty-related work as required. Maintain accurate daily service logs, work orders, and documentation for all service activities. Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and company procedures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan and execute service tasks. Collaborate with dispatch and team members to prioritize work, manage schedules, and support customer needs. Represent the company professionally at customer sites, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC service experience, with 5+ years strongly preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across HVAC and refrigeration systems. Hands-on experience with VRF systems, including Mitsubishi City Multi and Daikin. Experience servicing VAV systems, including dampers and associated controls. Proficiency working with rooftop units, split systems, and large commercial HVAC equipment. Refrigeration service experience, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and commercial kitchen equipment, strongly preferred. Solid understanding of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration principles. Working knowledge of boiler systems and air/water balancing. Ability to perform mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic testing on HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience with field service work, including maintaining service logs and documentation. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices in commercial and industrial environments. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience servicing reciprocating chillers and compressor systems. Experience working with a wide range of HVAC systems, including VRF, VAV, rooftop units, and chillers. Familiarity with HVAC electrical systems, including diagnostic testing and repair. Experience with air and water balancing in commercial systems. Comfort working independently in the field and managing a daily service schedule. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. EPA certification or similar credentials related to refrigeration handling (if held). Experience performing warranty-related HVAC and refrigeration work. Ability to adapt to a variety of commercial environments, such as apartment complexes, warehouses, and restaurants. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $104000.00/yr. Company pays 100% of benefits for employee and 75% of dependent through Cigna. $600 deductible. Diagnostics covered. 50% 401k match up to 4% $25/day when on call and $25/day when on call backup.
