Job description: Maintain production and facility HVAC systems and equipment. Minimize downtime by conducting diagnostics and repairs with an appropriate sense of urgency. Main priorities will be ductwork, ovens, installations and any other HVAC areas needing to be maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and testing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including compressors, heat pumps, and boilers.
- Performing preventive maintenance such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ductwork, and calibrating thermostats to ensure system longevity.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults using tools like multimeters, refrigerant gauges, and thermal imaging cameras.
- Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and building specifications for proper system installation.
- Estimating labor and material costs for projects and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with local building codes, appliance standards, and safety regulations such as OSHA guidelines.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Perform preventative maintenance on time for production and facility equipment when downtime occurs with HVAC systems.
Requirements:
Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating systems and boiler operations. Electrical and Mechanical experience. Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme weather conditions. PLC troubleshooting / Controls. Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
