Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer Hill Country Service 280 Main Street West, Ingram, TX 78025 $25.24 - $30.40 an hour - Full-time $25.24 - $30.40 an hour - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead installation projects, ensuring the seamless setup of HVAC systems that meet industry standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, design specifications, and safety protocols. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and building automation systems. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design documents to execute precise installations. Perform electrical diagnostics and mechanical system repairs using hand tools, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other specialized tools. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R systems while providing clear guidance to team members. Ensure all installations comply with EPA regulations for refrigerants and other environmental standards. Maintain excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about system operation, maintenance needs, and troubleshooting tips. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and property maintenance. Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as plumbing or appliance repair. Ability to read schematics, electrical systems diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance, and refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools essential for equipment troubleshooting. Experience with building automation systems (BAS), electrical diagnostics, boiler operation, and electrical systems is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification is a plus. EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or mechanical systems are advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Mechanical or technician experience in field service environments with a focus on HVAC system installation and maintenance.
