Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including heating units, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment in accordance with schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics, schematics, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques Conduct equipment troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, hand tools, and specialized testing devices Repair and service refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration where applicable Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and repairs Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed while ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades on mechanical systems including boilers, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems Utilize a valid driver's license to travel between job sites efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and installation Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields preferred Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams Knowledge of HVAC design principles and electrical diagnostics for system troubleshooting Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, installation, and equipment troubleshooting Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units when applicable Mechanical knowledge of plumbing, boiler operation, electrical systems, and appliance repair Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with welding skills for certain repairs or installations Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants required; additional certifications such as HVAC/R licenses are a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) is advantageous Field service experience demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently Join us to become part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in HVAC solutions!
