Job Description

Our client, a cosmetics manufacturing company, is looking for a Production Mechanic to join their team in North Hollywood, CA . In this hands-on floor role, you will support the safe and reliable operation of filling and packaging equipment by performing setup, changeover, troubleshooting and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and change over production equipment including tube fillers/sealers, automatic and semi-automatic labelers, fillers, cappers, conveyors, pumps, printers/coders, and other assigned line equipment Adjust equipment during start-up and production to maintain consistent filling, capping, labeling, and coding within approved requirements Troubleshoot line downtime and recurring equipment issues, make safe repairs or adjustments, and escalate when specialized support is required Perform mechanical repairs and replace common components such as pumps, belts, bearings, chains, guides, sensors, pneumatic parts, valves, and drive components Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of wear parts according to established schedules Maintain accurate machine settings and changeover information to enable repeatable setups and reduce trial-and-error Partner with Production and Quality during start-ups, troubleshooting, line restarts, and equipment changes Control tools, fasteners, lubricants, parts, and maintenance materials to prevent contamination and leave areas clean before returning equipment to service Document repairs, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, and follow-up needs accurately Follow all lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, electrical safety, and chemical safety requirements Stop and escalate any unsafe or quality-impacting equipment conditions immediately
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on manufacturing or packaging mechanic experience required including setup, changeover, troubleshooting, and maintenance of tube fillers/sealers and production labelers Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and troubleshooting equipment safely Working knowledge of mechanical systems including pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, sensors, and basic electrical controls strongly preferred Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, parts information, and work instructions GMP or regulated manufacturing experience preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on the production floor for extended periods including bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching

Pay Rate:
$25.00•$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 6:00 AM•2:00 PM Saturdays as needed | Occasional overtime required
