Position Summary Responsible for the end-to-end design, development, validation, timing, and production release of body-closure systems, including hoods, doors, liftgates, fenders, sheet metal sub-assemblies, hinges, latches, and sealing systems.

Key Responsibilities System Release:

Lead the engineering design, packaging, and release of closure structures, moving panels, and operating mechanisms.

Clearance Management:

Coordinate system packaging and clearance requirements with Electrical, Lighting, Exterior Trim, and Interior Engineering.

Structural Analysis:

Collaborate with CAE groups to satisfy modal stiffness, crashworthiness, durability, and operational targets.

Manufacturing Feasibility:

Ensure full component manufacturability across stamping feasibility, weld access, hem lines, and assembly plant processing.

Quality & Lifecycle:

Manage DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, CAD models, eBOMs, release milestones, supplier interactions, prototype builds, and assembly plant quality resolutions.
