STS Staffing is currently hiring a Shop Worker I for a hands-on position in a metal forging/manufacturing environment in Verdi, NV . Job Summary The Shop Worker I will assist with various areas of the Die Forge department and may be moved between different work areas depending on production needs. This is a flexible shop position where you will learn different equipment, processes, and duties. Job Duties Assist with press operations and basic forging equipment Assist with die maintenance and repair Operate saws and assist with material preparation Perform material handling and move parts/materials throughout the shop Use hand tools and power tools under supervision Assist with equipment setups Assist with spraying, driving, and other utility duties Operate forklifts, cranes, manipulators, or other equipment under supervision as qualified Learn and follow the forging process and shop procedures Inspect parts and help ensure basic quality requirements are met Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced employees Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow all company safety and quality procedures Work in different areas of the Die Forge department as needed, including Presses, Die Maintenance, DF Saws, Manufacturing Technology, Coatings, and Utility positions Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Previous manufacturing, metalworking, forging, or industrial experience is a plus Forklift, crane, or other equipment experience is helpful Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to work safely in a hands-on industrial environment Must be willing to follow safety procedures and work instructions

Pay:

$22.00 - $23.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
