Job Description
Mechanical Repair Technician - Retread Plant Position Summary The Mechanical Repair Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment throughout the retread manufacturing facility. This role helps ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while minimizing downtime. Benefits $20/hour Weekly pay Medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company contribution Paid Time Off (PTO) Six paid holidays Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime. Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Respond to equipment failures and identify root causes. Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and on time. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvements. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements. Work with production and management to support plant goals. Maintain company quality standards and Core Values. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical repair experience preferred. Knowledge of bearings, motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred. Ability to read technical manuals, equipment drawings, and maintenance documentation. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and movement throughout the facility. Ability to work around moving machinery and in varying production environments. Ability to perform maintenance tasks requiring moderate physical exertion and manual dexterity.
