An Industrial Mechanic repairs and maintains complex machines used in production or manufacturing, such as conveyor belts; may use computerized diagnostic equipment.
Ensure food safety, quality and legality Troubleshoot mechanical problems Make repairs and alterations for facility as directed Performs mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance as required Assists in the assembly and dismantling of production machinery Maintains accurate record of completed assignments Keeps management informed of machinery and facility problems Assists in other departmental areas as needed Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition; ability to lift 75 lbs.; ability to operate all necessary hand tools; ability to kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, etc. to reach items in need of repair; ability to drive forklift, yard dog, and truck; tolerance to all extreme weather conditions, such as very hot or very cold temperatures.
