Facilities Description:
Job Summary This is a full-time role for a Field Technician at Palm Construction Group. The role involves conducting equipment maintenance, facility maintenance and repair tasks, building maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of the facilities. The Maintenance Technician MUST be Skilled in general maintenance (plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, etc.). The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, and be able to work independently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform maintenance tasks, such as repairing, replacing, and troubleshooting, to ensure proper operation. Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner. Capable of communicating and updating all notes required for each service request to ensure we have a detailed description of your findings in the field, accurate records of maintenance activities, and equipment inventory. Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance skills Troubleshooting abilities Experience in facility maintenance and repair work Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations Strong problem-solving skills Relevant certification or vocational training in maintenance or related field Valid California driver's license; valid vehicle insurance. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English verbally and in writing. On-call is required for after-hours emergencies; the schedule may require work on weekends, holidays, and evenings. Regular, consistent, and timely attendance is required. Ability to operate a smartphone to update purchase orders through our software.
Required Education and Experience:
Must be authorized to work in the United States. High School Diploma or GED required. Competency in reading and understanding drawings. Knowledge of construction practices.
