RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists or in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs a variety of maintenance tasks including some carpentry, plumbing, painting, cleaning, and general repairs. Maintains all interior fixtures in good repair, including walls, woodwork, handrails, nurses call systems, light fixtures, furniture, etc, as per established procedure. Cleans or provides maintenance to rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker area, parking lots, facility grounds, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Maintains repair on wheelchairs, geri chairs, etc. Follows all universal precautions and infection control procedures Provides support services to other areas of the building as needed. Attends in-service training as assigned. Assists in the installation of new machines and equipment under direction of supervisor or contractor vendor. Any other assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Administrator.
