Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy:

This position is responsible for providing a varied set of duties based on the operational priorities of the Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve. These duties can include mowing, trimming, trash pick-up, janitorial services including cleaning of restrooms, snow and leaf removal, landscape maintenance, invasive species removal, tree/brush removal, trail maintenance, equipment repair and maintenance and other duties as needed. This position is a casual seasonal 29.5hours/week, with anticipated hire dates of April through mid November 2026. Work is performed under various weather conditions. Additional work on weekends, evenings and holidays may be scheduled. • Performs grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, trail maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal and snow/ice removal.
• Performs custodial services in restrooms, offices, and other buildings.
• Operation of landscaping equipment and use of hand and power tools.
• Set-up, monitoring and clean-up support for programs and special events.
• Provide excellent customer service and information to visitors.
• Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
