Job Description

Lakeview Terrace - a Life Care Community, is enhancing and advancing the art of Life Care. Our gated campus occupies 100 serene acres on the edge of the Ocala National Forest. Featuring two lakes with fishing docks, walking paths, a natural area for picnicking and a Rehab Center and Exercise Pool Complex. With full-service offerings available to all our residents, we provide peace of mind with caring and compassionate staff to ensure happiness and well-being. As a team member with Lakeview Terrace, you will provide services to our residents that call LVT home. Job Summary - The Facilities Maintenance Assistant assists in performing preventative maintenance and repair on equipment, systems, and facility structures. This ensures operational safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role responds independently to maintenance needs, including after-hours on-call responsibilities and supports recordkeeping, communication, and departmental coordination under the Director of Plant Operations.
Essential Duties:
Follow preventive maintenance schedules on all large equipment. Perform plumbing, electrical, woodwork repairs and paint as requested. Maintain miscellaneous tools and equipment. Maintain facility's appliances, heating and cooling systems as needed. Work independently and carry radio as directed by Supervisor. Cover all maintenance calls during week and weekends after hours. When "on-call", call the Director of Plant Operations if repairs cannot be made. Assist with testing fire and generator systems. Assist in keeping records, including dates of repair or service, and maintain inventory stock and order as needed through the Director of Plant Operations. Assure maintenance schedules are followed. Keep constantly in communication with the Director of Plant Operations and alert of any problems that pertain to your job or the maintenance department. Attend all required in-services and training. Ensure compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations. Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Plant Operations. Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours per day
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required. O One (1) years' experience in Facilities Maintenance required. Must have a Basic understanding of electrical and other system. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods required. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices required. Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills required.
