The Driver non-CDL provides transportation for residents to medical appointments, community activities, and essential services. The role includes assisting with mail distribution, completing trip slips, and ensuring vehicle maintenance. The driver will also cover weekends and PTO, remaining "on call" as needed. Compliance with all regulations and participation in required training is essential for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Transport resident to, from doctors' offices, church, hospital, banking, shopping, and within the community as needed. Transport residents within the community as needed. Deliver outgoing mail to post office daily, assist in distribution of resident mail and billing. Assist with weekend and PTO coverage. Assist in the distribution of resident mail and monthly billings. Assist with weekends; driver may be required to be "on call." Responsible for reporting any problems with the auto they are driving. Responsible for preventive maintenance on facility vehicles as assigned. Responsible for completing assigned trip slips accurately and timely. Attend all required in-services and training. Ensure compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Experience:
Two (2) years of driver's experience required. Must be a minimum of 21 years old, hold a valid Florida driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
