Position Summary:
The Utilities Maintenance Worker performs general manual work and is responsible for maintaining city water and sewer lines, and other City facilities. Work is performed under the immediate supervision of the Utilities Foremen. Must provide services after hours on an "On-Call" scheduled rotation (set in advance). Essential Functions:
Performs general inspection, maintenance, and repair of city water, sewer, stormwater and irrigation systems to include cleaning, excavation, repair, replacement and inspection of pipes, service connections, valves, fire hydrants, manholes, culverts, ditches, and inlet and outlet structures Provide services after hours on an "On-Call" scheduled rotation (set in advance) Performs maintenance work order needs Regular in-person attendance during City and department business hours, since face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees, residents, or vendors, and all immediate access to documents or tools, or other resources located at the workplace is required Maintains and operates hand tools and small equipment Operate equipment and City Vehicles when required Performs any and all other duties as assigned (These essential and additional job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Education & Experience:
High School graduate or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma One (1) year related manual labor and technical experience in infrastructure maintenance
Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid FL Driver's License. CDL license is preferred, must have the ability to obtain.
Essential Physical Skills:

Working Hours & Environment:
Full-time position. May require work outside of normal business hours in emergency and maintenance circumstances. Must be available to work after hours, On-Call assignments, and perform Call-Back services. Works outside up to 100% of the time in various weather and environmental conditions. Potential exposure to heat, wind, rain, dust, dirt, noise, sewage, pond and creek water, confined spaces, uneven/slippery surfaces, below ground level, insects, native animals, and possibly chemicals.
