Shift OPEN Position Purpose Statement:
The job of Tech 1 is for providing maintenance services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns. Position Summary Installs system component parts, facility components, electrical, and mechanical. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars for the purpose of improvement of processes. Maintains tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring everything is in safe operating condition. Prepares written materials (status) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information. Other Functions Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Overtime is required routinely and occasionally with short notice. Be willing to lead when called upon. Qualifications 90 day evaluation period. Knowledge is required to perform math, read manuals, understanding complex, multi-step written and oral instructions. Must be computer literate and demonstrate electrical and mechanical aptitude. Abilityto gather and collate data. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and work hours required to get the job completed. The candidate must the ability to solve complex problems in a team atmosphere and as a single entity. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, ability to walk considerable amounts and be able to climb ladders.Job Type:
