We are seeking a reliable, handy, and compassionate Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work directly under the guidance of our Maintenance Supervisor to keep our building, mechanical systems, and beautiful grounds in excellent working order.

Key Responsibilities General Repairs:

Perform minor and routine repairs across the facility, including fixing drywall, painting, changing lightbulbs, patching plumbing leaks, shampooing carpet and handling basic carpentry tasks.

Preventative Maintenance:

Help execute the facility's routine safety checks and scheduled equipment servicing to avoid breakdowns.

Groundskeeping:

Maintain the facility grounds, which includes clearing sidewalks, pulling weeds, basic landscaping, and ensuring walkways are safe during inclement weather.

Resident Room Turnovers:

Prep resident rooms for incoming arrivals by repairing furniture, deep-cleaning fixtures, touching up paint, and coordinating moves.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all work areas are tidy and that tools are stored safely. Comply with state healthcare regulations, fire safety codes, and OSHA standards.

Resident Relations:

Interact warmly and respectfully with elderly residents, administrative staff, and visitors while working in patient-facing areas.

Job Requirements Experience:

Preferred 1+ years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or property management preferred (previous experience in a healthcare setup or nursing home is a huge plus).

Technical Skills:

Basic hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, painting, drywalling, and HVAC fundamentals.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and comfortably handle physical labor in various weather conditions.

Pay:

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
