We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Porter - Multi-Site Facilities to help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of our facilities across multiple locations. About the Role The Senior Maintenance Porter plays a key role in ensuring our properties remain clean, safe, and welcoming for customers and employees. This position is primarily focused on facility cleanliness, groundskeeping, light maintenance, and preventative maintenance activities. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, takes pride in their work, notices details others miss, and understands that clean, well-maintained facilities create a better customer experience. This is a hands-on position that involves working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons. The role supports multiple Delta Storage locations and requires regular travel between properties using company-provided vehicles. The Senior Maintenance Porter will utilize our mobile work order and maintenance management system to receive assignments, document completed work, upload photos, and communicate facility issues to management. Key Responsibilities Travel between multiple Delta Storage locations using company vehicles Perform daily cleaning of offices, hallways, elevators, restrooms, loading areas, and storage buildings Remove trash and debris from buildings and grounds Maintain landscaping, shrubs, flower beds, and exterior appearance Perform routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns Utilize company maintenance and work order software to receive assignments, track progress, upload photos, and document completed work Conduct routine property inspections and enter findings into the work order system Complete light maintenance tasks such as: Replacing light bulbs Changing HVAC filters Basic painting and touch-up work Minor door and hardware repairs Replacing ceiling tiles Basic plumbing and electrical fixture repairs Assist with snow removal, salting, and ice control during winter weather Operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment safely Assist with facility improvement projects as assigned Communicate maintenance needs, safety concerns, and facility issues through company systems and established reporting procedures Maintain accurate records of completed work and preventative maintenance activities Help maintain a safe environment for customers and employees Support the operations team as needed What We're Looking For Experience in custodial, porter, maintenance, facilities, or similar roles Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day Reliable attendance and punctuality Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Basic maintenance and repair skills Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Comfortable traveling between multiple work locations Basic smartphone and tablet proficiency Experience using mobile applications for work orders, inspections, or maintenance tracking preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks effectively Ability to communicate clearly through written notes, photos, and mobile applications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Commercial, property management, self-storage, or facilities experience is a plus, but not required. Compensation & Benefits $26-$31 per hour , based on experience Full-time, year-round position Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage available Paid Time Off Stable, long-term employment with a growing local company Company uniforms provided Company vehicle provided during working hours Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and mobile applications to receive work assignments, document completed work, upload photos, track repairs, and assist with preventative maintenance activities. Travel between assigned Delta Storage locations using company vehicles to perform cleaning, inspections, maintenance, and property improvement tasks. Perform cleaning and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Complete basic repairs involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, storage unit doors, gates, and facility equipment. Maintain landscaping and exterior grounds. Clean common areas, offices, loading areas, and customer-access areas. Remove litter and debris from the property daily. Assist with snow removal operations, including operation of snowplows and salting equipment. Operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment safely. Assist customers with basic directions and facility questions when needed. Safely operate hand tools and power tools. Maintain organized work areas and storage spaces. Follow directions from management and complete assigned tasks. Assist with special projects and facility improvements. Work overtime when necessary, particularly during weather events. Knowledge, Skills & Requirements Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools. Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment. Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and work order software. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work from ladders up to 10 feet. Valid driver's license required. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Professional appearance and conduct. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting. Regular work both indoors and outdoors. Frequent exposure to weather conditions. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and maintenance equipment.
