Job Description
Experience This would be 35 hours per week - hours are 7:00-2:30 p.m. (1 hour unpaid lunch) Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly desirable Performs completion of set-ups of rooms for various events and the successful break down of the set ups after the event has ended. Manually transports tables, chairs, podiums, lecterns, flipcharts, staging, skirting, etc. All equipment must be clean and be in an orderly fashion according to the set-up instructions. Properly store equipment when not in use. Sweeps, vacuums, washes, cleans, polishes and waxes all floors and woodwork daily. Shampoos carpets and strips VCT flooring as needed. Dusts, cleans, waxes and polishes desks, tables, chairs, office equipment, blinds and other furniture. Cleans offices, halls, living quarters, cafeterias, classrooms, gymnasiums, auditoriums, lavatories, and other building areas. Cleans windows, blinds and mirrors as needed. Cleans blackboards and whiteboards. Collects and disposes of waste and refuse, disposes of recyclables as per established guidelines, empties trash receptacles and replace liners daily. Cleans and sanitizes all fixtures, toilets, sinks and urinals in lavatories and kitchens and ensure that clean towels, tissues, and soap are available and restocked daily. Rearranges and relocates office furniture, records, and supplies as required
