Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Staff member to oversee the upkeep and repair of our apartment complex. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of the property through routine maintenance tasks and timely repairs. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying issues and addressing them efficiently to maintain a comfortable living environment for residents. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of the apartment complex to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, HVAC units, and structural elements. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or management, prioritizing urgent issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces. Assist with landscaping, painting, and other general upkeep tasks as needed. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or installations when necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities. Skills Proven experience in building or apartment complex maintenance or similar roles. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general carpentry skills. Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and perform repairs efficiently. Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills for coordinating with residents and team members. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
