Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our Hotel staff Duties Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor areas Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery safely and efficiently Identify various plants and trees to ensure proper care and health; apply horticultural knowledge for plant identification and pest management Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers or drip lines to ensure proper watering schedules Conduct grounds inspections to identify hazards or needed repairs; perform routine safety checks in compliance with safety protocols Assist with tree trimming, ground leveling, fertilizing, and soil preparation to promote lush landscapes Follow all safety procedures diligently while handling pesticides, herbicides, or other chemicals; document usage as required Skills Extensive outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management techniques Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively for efficient water use Skilled in lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration Familiarity with tree trimming techniques to promote healthy growth and safety •
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
