Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and repair of our properties, ensuring all systems operate smoothly and safely. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals. Support residential painting projects, including surface preparation and finishing touches to uphold property aesthetics. Operate tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues accurately. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset histories. Supervise or assist with small-scale projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed during all repair activities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate facilities maintenance tasks efficiently while providing excellent customer service to residents and staff. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields within residential settings. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to support team coordination efforts. Knowledge of CMMS software for managing maintenance workflows efficiently. Basic understanding of residential painting techniques is a plus. Demonstrated customer service skills to address resident professionally.
