Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent, AND one year of general maintenance or landscaping experience.Required Licenses or Certifications:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.Required Knowledge of:
Basic tools and equipment used in parks, facilities and grounds maintenance. City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.Required Skill in:
Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of tools and equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures. Effective communication skills for positive relationships with employees, patrons, and the general public. Physical Demands /Work Environment:
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and involves standing, walking, kneeling and bending for extended periods of time, with exposure to hazardous equipment and low to no light conditions, requires constant physical efforts for extended periods, and ability to safely lift, carry and move items weighing up to eighty (80) pounds. Must be able to work flexible work schedule and irregular hours including evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays on any assigned or scheduled shift, including but not limited to 5:00 am- 2:30 pm, 7:00 am
- 3:30 pm.
