Job Description

Successful candidates will engage in routine preventative and corrective maintenance, care and upkeep of grounds and equipment operation. Specific needs of the school will dictate responsibilities. May be assigned general custodial responsibilities and various other tasks as needed. Must be at least 18 years of age, high school diploma preferred. Must possess and maintain valid Vermont drivers license. Must possess general knowledge of accepted cleaning practices, all maintenance functions including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, furnace repair, custodial, etc. Ability to operate power tools, lawn equipment, snow plow and have physical ability to perform maintenance and moving tasks, bend, stoop, kneel frequently and lift up to 70 pounds as well as to stand and walk for long periods of timeWillingness to work a flexible schedule, be on call and respond to emergency and service calls outside normal working hours including nights and weekends, work weekends and overtime as assigned. Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated team, good communication, decision making, resource management and conflict resolution skills. Punctuality, solid attendance and good work quality are imperative, as are maintaining good relations with district staff, students and community.

Excellent benefits including health and dental insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick and holiday pay. $20.81-21.84 per hour dependent on experience, rate may be increased with college credits.
