Position Summary:

Involves equipment disassembly and setups, operating a press during production runs, troubleshooting and repairing equipment and performing preventive maintenance and routine service on equipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Can multi-task and solve practical problems while under pressure to meet a deadline. Can identify, troubleshoot and repair el ectrical systems. Able to identify, troubleshoot and repair PLC systems. Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment in the facility. Works on the production line and operates the hydraulic hot press.

Performs various cleaning duties including:

Cleaning and maintenance of all dies Cleaning of the press - during production and after the production line is set-up (post clean) Cleaning other equipment as needed to perform maintenance tasks Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Must report any food safety concerns to appropriate personnel with authority to initiate action related to the concern. Understands and follows all established safety procedures and uses required personal protective equipment to reduce/prevent injury to self and others. Successfully completes OSHA training and maintains / complies with OSHA regulations affecting operations. Successfully completes additionally safety training including Emergency Action Plan, LOTO, Hazard Communication, and Ergonomics. Successfully completes required SQF / Food Safety training annually and other training specific to this job.
