Maintenance Director - Senior Living Covina Court Senior Living | Covina, CA Full-Time Join Our Team at Covina Court Senior Living Covina Court Senior Living is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee building maintenance, physical plant operations, preventive maintenance, repairs, apartment turns, vendors, and the overall upkeep of our senior living community in Covina, California. We're looking for someone who knows how to do more than manage a work-order list. Our Maintenance Director should be a hands-on maintenance leader and strong problem solver who can troubleshoot building systems, perform repairs, prioritize projects, oversee vendors and contractors, and help keep our community operating and looking its best. If you have experience as a Maintenance Director, Facilities Manager, Maintenance Manager, Facilities Director, Maintenance Supervisor, Building Engineer, Property Maintenance Manager, or Apartment Maintenance Supervisor, we'd like to meet you. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations Perform and oversee general building repairs and maintenance Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC and building systems Maintain and repair appliances, fixtures and community equipment Perform painting, wall repair, minor carpentry, door, lock and general property repairs Coordinate apartment turns and prepare vacant units for new residents Conduct routine inspections of the building, equipment and grounds Maintain required maintenance records and documentation Coordinate outside vendors, contractors and subcontractors Obtain bids and help manage maintenance projects and expenses Monitor contractor work and project completion Respond to work orders and changing community priorities Coordinate with community leadership regarding apartment condition and availability Support applicable fire alarm, smoke detector, emergency call and building maintenance requirements Participate in on-call and emergency maintenance coverage as required What We're Looking For Demonstrated experience in maintenance, facilities or building operations Strong hands-on building maintenance and repair skills Preventive maintenance experience Plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills HVAC or air-conditioning maintenance experience Appliance and equipment repair experience General carpentry, painting and property repair skills Experience working with vendors and contractors Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Excellent organization and time-management skills Dependable, responsive and able to prioritize multiple maintenance needs Professional when working around residents, families, employees and vendors Leadership experience is highly desirable Experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, skilled nursing, multifamily housing, apartment maintenance, property management, hospitality, commercial facilities, or building operations is highly relevant. A Hands-On Leadership Role This is not a desk-only facilities position. We're looking for a Maintenance Director who is comfortable picking up the tools, diagnosing a problem, determining what can be handled internally, knowing when a qualified outside contractor is needed, and following the project through completion.
