Full Job Description Maintenance Manager Position:

San Marcos, CA (On-site)
Pay:
$90,000 - $100,000/year (DOE) Who We Are We are an industry-leading agricultural pioneer and the nation's premier grower and supplier of specialty produce, operating out of San Marcos, California. The Opportunity We are looking for a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground Maintenance Manager to run the show for our production, processing, and growing facilities. You will lead a bilingual team, keep critical equipment humming, and take charge of everything from daily repairs to major facility upgrades. This is an active, on-the-floor role where you will regularly work around moving machinery, varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, and heavy equipment (such as power tools, tractors, and company vehicles). If you know your way around heavy mechanics, love solving problems on the fly, and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves, this is your kind of job. What You'll Be Doing Lead the
Crew:
Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance techs and support crews. Lead by example and build a strong, safety-first team culture.
Keep Things Running:
Oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage work orders, and utilize our CMMS to track equipment history.
Fix What Breaks:
Jump in fast during emergency repairs to minimize downtime and keep operations moving.
Manage Projects:
Handle equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and vendor/contractor coordination.
Keep Order:
Manage spare parts, tools, maintenance inventory, and purchasing.
Safety First:
Ensure all safety rules are followed, investigate any workplace incidents, and keep the floor running safe and compliant.
What We're Looking For Experience:
3+ years managing maintenance operations and leading technical teams in industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural settings.
Bilingual:
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Technical Skills:
Strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
Facility Repair:
Solid hands-on knowledge of building construction, tools, and equipment repair.
Troubleshooting:
Ability to diagnose and fix complex machinery quickly under time-sensitive conditions.
Leadership & Training:
Proven track record of mentoring, training, and setting a strong work ethic.
Safety:
Capable of enforcing safety protocols, investigating incidents, and preparing reports.
