Full-Time On-Call Rotation Required An established property management company is seeking an experienced and reliable Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team at a premier Class A apartment community in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The Lead Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community, ensuring that the property is maintained to Class A standards while delivering prompt, professional, and resident-focused service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Respond to resident service requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner. Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the community. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including leaks, fixture replacements, and drain issues. Maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment to ensure proper climate control and resident comfort. Diagnose and repair household appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, washers, and dryers. Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, repairs, inspections, and preparation of units for new resident move-ins. Repair and maintain doors, windows, locks, cabinetry, drywall, flooring, and other building components. Identify and correct potential safety hazards to maintain a safe environment for residents, guests, and staff. Conduct move-out inspections and prepare scopes of work for unit renovations and turns. Assist in maintaining the overall curb appeal and cleanliness of the community, including common areas and amenities. Lift, move, and transport appliances, equipment, and maintenance materials as needed. Schedule, coordinate, and oversee onsite vendors and contractors. Maintain adequate inventory levels and place orders for supplies and materials. Assist in developing and executing preventative maintenance programs. Participate in the property's emergency maintenance on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as required. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards and applicable safety regulations. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of apartment maintenance experience preferred. Prior experience in a Class A or luxury multifamily community strongly preferred. HVAC experience is required. EPA Certification preferred. Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical activities including climbing stairs, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
