Job Description

Position Description Summary/Purpose :
This position provides routine maintenance services to the Goodwin University campus.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :

Advanced painting, carpentry and plumbing skills Strong electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and HVAC systems and complete repairs Performs advanced preventive building maintenance tasks Moving (furniture, boxes and files). Flexible work hours Ensures all safety procedures are practiced.
Other Functions :
Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits Will be required to be on call week in rotation Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications :
Education, Training and Experience :
High School Diploma or GED At least two years working experience in the maintenance field OSHA 10 certification
Special Requirements :
Valid CT Drivers license and insured vehicle Lift certification preferred

X Close vision (i.e. clear vision at 20 inches or less) X Distance vision (i.e. clear vision at 20 feet or more) X Color vision (i.e. ability to identify and distinguish colors) X Peripheral vision (i.e. ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or left and right while the eyes are fixed on a given point) X Depth perception (i.e. three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) ___ No special vision requirements
