100% On-site (Office & Field) At JL Closets, we've been designing and installing premium custom closet and storage solutions throughout South Florida since 1991. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Installation Manager to lead our installation team from our Boca Raton headquarters and ensure every project is completed with exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. We are not looking for general construction managers or project managers without direct closet or cabinetry installation experience.

Hands-on experience installing custom closets, cabinetry, or millwork Proven experience leading or managing installation teams Based in or willing to relocate to Boca Raton, FL Valid driver's license
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 100% on-site leadership position based in Boca Raton, Florida . You will split your time between our office and customer job sites throughout South Florida, working directly with installation crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to JL Closets' high standards. This is not a remote or hybrid position. The Installation Manager is responsible for leading our installation team, ensuring projects are completed on time, maintaining JL Closets' quality standards, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This role requires someone who understands the installation process from firsthand experience and can effectively coach, troubleshoot, and manage installers in the field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage a team of 20+ installers Conduct daily morning meetings to review projects, assign work, and address installation challenges Ensure installers follow JL Closets' installation standards and company procedures Coordinate closely with Scheduling, Production, and Customer Service teams Perform quality control inspections on active and completed projects Travel to customer job sites throughout South Florida to oversee installations and resolve field issues Troubleshoot installation issues remotely and provide field support when necessary Schedule and oversee follow-up appointments for punch list items and service work Develop and implement training programs for helpers and junior installers Mentor installers to advance into senior installation roles Monitor installation productivity, workmanship, and customer satisfaction Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and work toward successful resolutions Continuously improve installation processes, efficiency, and quality
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Hands-on experience installing custom closets, cabinetry, or architectural millwork ( required ) Previous experience managing installation crews or construction teams Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and mobile technology Highly detail-oriented with excellent follow-through Ability to work approximately 55-60 hours per week , including occasional Saturdays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience Spanish fluency Experience working in custom home improvement or luxury residential construction

Base Salary:
$85,000 per year
Performance Bonus:
Up to $15,000 per year
