A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Skills:
Need to have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work with minimum supervision. Computer skills with Excel, Word, and SAP. Must be able to conduct system audits for inventory accuracy. Essential Functions Required for Job Order and maintain sufficient inventory levels for two Buford locations. Receive UPS and other shipments from hand carry vendors by checking all items as being complete or as partial shipments. Adding new material numbers in SAP Distribute parts to automation/maintenance staff during assigned shift hours. Authorize returns and making sure all RMA paperwork is correct before shipment to vendor. Maintain accurate inventories and transactions in SAP. Follow-up on all order and back-orders for current delivery dates and lead times. Assure all part transaction for outgoing components are attached to a valid workorder. Using preferred vendors to quote stock replenishment and maintain vendor list. Analyze order points and quantities on an on-going basis to minimize on-hand inventory and cost control. Clean and maintain all work areas within the central warehouse. Other duties as needed at the discretion of the direct reporting Manager and Maintenance Planner. Creation and adaptation of preventative maintenance plans, based on machine documentation and on the lessons learned from previous maintenance activities. Daily work assignment of preventative maintenance tasks in coordination with the local production controller Maintain local SAP system (close work orders, check reported times, check for correct use of the system.) Local key user for SAP-PM processes. Monitor spare part storage (correct bookings/safety stock/ inventory) Plan and monitor continuous improvement actions based on SAP-PM analyses and KPI's, in coordination with the local Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Manager Planning, monitoring, and execution of maintenance activities with external suppliers. Other duties as needed at the discretion of the direct reporting Manger and Maintenance Planner.
