MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Location:
Macon, GA Pay:
Based on Experience (BOE)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM until finish Some Saturdays Required
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations within a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, managing the maintenance team, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and oversee all maintenance department operations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs.
  • Supervise, train, and develop maintenance personnel.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, facility improvements, and contractor projects.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, HACCP, and company standards.
  • Maintain inventory and oversee purchasing of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Partner with Operations and Production to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and departmental performance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for facility IT systems and technical resources.
  • Participate in Food Safety/HACCP programs and corrective action initiatives.
  • Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous Maintenance Manager experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS experience is a plus).
  • Working knowledge of FDA, OSHA, EPA, and food safety regulations.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
