What they do
A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
Create, schedule, and prioritize preventive, predictive, and corrective work orders in alignment with production downtime windows.Systems & Analytics:
Maintain the CMMS, manage equipment records, track key KPIs (downtime, MTBF/MTTR, PM compliance), and support root cause analyses for recurring issues.Materials & Inventory:
Forecast MRO spare parts, assist with cycle counts, and collaborate with purchasing and planning to ensure material availability without overstocking.
Operations Support:
Coordinate work with internal technicians and external contractors; assist with raw/packaging inventory management as needed.Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience :
2+ years in maintenance planning or a related manufacturing role (food manufacturing experience strongly preferred).
Technical Skills :
Hands-on experience withCMMS/ERP
systems (NetSuite a plus) and proficiency in basic data analysis/spreadsheets.Core Competencies :
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; comfortable balancing office tasks with plant-floor activity.- Certifications/Extras (Preferred): Familiarity with GMP/food safety standards; CMRP, APICS/CPIM, or equivalent certifications.
