Motor Werks is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive service operation in Barrington, IL. This high-impact role calls for a proven leader who can develop teams, improve performance, elevate customer satisfaction, and drive results through change. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and motivate the Service Department team to deliver strong performance and customer satisfaction. Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, workflow, customer communication, and efficiency. Set clear expectations and build a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Monitor KPIs, financial performance, productivity, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction; act quickly on opportunities for improvement. Improve customer retention, loyalty, repair order profitability, and overall department performance. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Recruit, develop, evaluate, and retain high-quality service employees. Partner with Parts, Sales, the General Manager, and dealership leadership to deliver a seamless customer experience and achieve store objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. What We're Looking For Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or senior service leader in a dealership environment. Track record of improving performance, developing employees, and delivering measurable results. High-volume dealership service department experience preferred. Strong understanding of dealership service operations, repair processes, workflow, technician productivity, parts coordination, and customer service. Ability to lead through change while maintaining accountability, morale, productivity, and professionalism. Strong business acumen with the ability to manage service department financials and KPIs. Customer-first mindset with excellent leadership, communication, coaching, organization, and problem-solving skills. Hands-on, visible leadership style with the ability to earn team respect and commitment. High school diploma or equivalent required; related degree preferred. Valid driver's license; clean driving record preferred if regular operation of customer vehicles is required. Experience with dealership management systems and automotive repair software; Tekion experience is a plus .
