$40 + $1 SHIFT DIFF Maintenance Lead Mechanic Position Summary The Maintenance Lead Mechanic is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations while serving as a hands-on leader. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports production by leading maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and guiding a team of technicians in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Lead, assign, and support maintenance technicians in daily tasks and projects Perform hands-on maintenance including troubleshooting, repair, and installation of equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement effective solutions Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) schedules are completed accurately and on time Review work orders, prioritize tasks, and coordinate maintenance activities with production teams Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Train and mentor maintenance team members to improve skill levels and performance Assist with parts inventory, ordering, and coordination with MRO/Parts departments Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis efforts Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide leadership during critical situations Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including 480V), hydraulics, and pneumatics Experience with PLC troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights or weekends if required #IND1
