A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team and support the delivery of offshore fabric maintenance programs on assigned deepwater assets in the Gulf of America. Reporting to the Project Manager and supporting the Fabric Maintenance Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and scheduling of maintenance work scopes to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of fabric maintenance activities for a major offshore operator. Based primarily in the office, with periodic offshore visits for planning activities, scope validation, and asset walk downs, the role works closely with inspectors, engineers, supervisors, and operations personnel to develop maintenance plans, prioritize risk-based work scopes, and support the effective execution of fabric maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience within offshore fabric maintenance programs. They will be capable of translating inspection findings, engineering requirements, and operational priorities into executable maintenance strategies that improve asset reliability, and contribute to long-term asset performance. Key Responsibilities Safety, Quality & Compliance Ensure planning activities comply with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable safety standards.
Incorporate safety, quality, and operational requirements into maintenance plans and workpacks.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, resource utilization, and schedule performance. Logistics & Resource Planning Develop fabric maintenance plans aligned with operational requirements and asset integrity objectives.
Support resource forecasting, material planning, and execution readiness requirements.
Coordinate support requirements with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and other stakeholders.
Support supervisors by identifying and planning low-complexity contingency work scopes. Offshore Planning & Scheduling Develop, maintain, and update fabric maintenance work scope plans and schedules.
Manage tracker data, maintenance backlogs, and work scope prioritization.
Identify and prioritize overdue, high-risk, and condition-critical work scopes.
Develop workpacks and work instructions to support offshore execution.
Conduct periodic offshore visits to support scope validation, walk downs, and planning activities. Asset Integration & Performance Management Work closely with inspectors and engineers to convert findings into executable work scopes.
Coordinate engineering clarifications and incorporate technical requirements into maintenance plans.
Develop campaign plans, including scope grouping, nesting, sequencing, and scheduling.
Support Annual Operating Plan (AoP) development, forecasting, and long-term maintenance strategies.
Maintain planning metrics and provide schedule status updates to support decision-making. Qualifications 3-5 years' experience in planning offshore fabric maintenance activities.
Strong understanding of fabric maintenance, coatings, insulation, and asset integrity programs.
Strong understanding of workpack / work instruction development, campaign planning, and integrated scheduling.
Experience working with offshore operations, inspection teams, engineering disciplines, and contractors.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards, offshore logistics, and maintenance execution processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred.
AMPP/NACE, ICorr, FROSIO, or similar industry certification preferred.
