Job Description

Lead Maintenance - Built for Quality, Standards & Reliable Execution Lead from the field, solve complex repairs, and make sure the work is done right. You take pride in work that is complete, accurate, and done to a high standard. You notice the details others miss, follow a problem through to completion, and want repairs handled correctly the first time. You are comfortable leading from the field, but you also believe good maintenance requires clear processes, consistent follow-through, quality controls, and reliable documentation. In this role, you will combine strong hands-on maintenance skills with practical leadership to help ensure technicians complete safe, thorough work and that our properties are maintained to established standards.
THE ROLE
As the Lead Maintenance for our Lewiston/Auburn portfolio, you will perform and oversee maintenance, repairs, unit turns, inspections, and larger repair projects. You will diagnose problems, determine the appropriate repair method, support technicians in the field, and inspect completed work to ensure it meets our quality and safety standards. You will also help maintain organized, complete work-order documentation, including labor, materials, receipts, and photos. This is a hands-on role for someone who values structure, accountability, consistent execution, and doing the job correctly from start to finish.
ROLE HIGHLIGHTS
Location:
Lewiston/Auburn, Maine. Strong hands-on knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, doors and locks, minor plumbing, minor electrical, appliances, and general building repairs. Previous experience leading technicians, crews, or subcontractors strongly preferred. Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and determine the correct repair method, materials, and labor required. Strong attention to quality, detail, safety, and established standards. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records, including work-order notes, labor, materials, receipts, and before-and-after photos. Comfortable inspecting completed work, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring punch-list items are corrected. Ability to follow and reinforce company procedures, safety requirements, and lead-safe work practices. Strong organization and disciplined follow-through across work orders, unit turns, preventive maintenance, inspections, and larger repair projects. Clear, professional communication with residents, coworkers, vendors, property teams, and management. Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle are required for travel between assigned properties and work locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved business travel. Comfortable using a smartphone/work-order software and participating in the rotating on-call schedule Applicable trade licenses or certifications are beneficial but not required. Ability to pass any required background screening.
