SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor's primary responsibility is to oversee the maintenance department and ensure that equipment is safely operating and meets its intended use while optimizing equipment up-time. The purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to lead and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on all machines and related equipment used in manufacturing. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing maintenance personnel, establishing maintenance priorities, supporting troubleshooting and repairs, and driving preventative / predictive maintenance activities throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Manage, supervise, and provide direction to Maintenance Technicians and other maintenance personnel. Plan, coordinate, and ensure completion of preventative / predictive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and tools. Monitor equipment performance and downtime and establish maintenance priorities to maximize equipment up-time. Ensure equipment is regularly inspected for safe and proper operating conditions. Provide technical support for major repairs and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, robotic, and programmable controller problems. Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled repairs while minimizing disruption to production. Identify recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability. Manage maintenance work orders and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner. Coordinate replacement parts, equipment, tools, supplies, and critical spare parts inventory. Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, and improvement projects. Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to support manufacturing objectives. Train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel and coordinate staffing to support plant operations. Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve maintenance efficiency. Ensure all maintenance personnel follow applicable safety procedures and OSHA requirements, including lockout / tagout. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance department. Responsibilities include all listed above, but are not limited to only those listed above. Complete any and all tasks or assignments as requested by Management. Maintain compliance of
IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
Follows all safety, housekeeping and company policies and procedures. Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to demonstrate above average leadership. Must have excellent people skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Some college or technical education preferred (i.e. management, supervision). Minimum of four years of prior manufacturing experience preferred. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, programmable controller problems. Experience in operating various machining equipment.
