Role Description We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager who is technically strong, enjoys solving problems, and has the ability to lead others. You do not need years of management experience. We are open to an experienced maintenance professional who demonstrates strong leadership capabilities and is ready to take the next step in their career. This is not a desk-based maintenance position. You will work directly with CNC and other production equipment—troubleshooting problems, diagnosing failures, participating in repairs, and developing preventive solutions—while providing leadership and direction for the maintenance function. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment and related systems at our Saline facility. The position works closely with Production, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and maintenance colleagues throughout the global Kyocera Unimerco organization. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and repair CNC and other industrial production equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial control-related issues. Perform and coordinate preventive and planned maintenance. Identify recurring equipment problems and develop long-term solutions—not just quick fixes. Proactively identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance, safety, and efficiency. Establish priorities and coordinate daily maintenance activities. Lead, guide, and support maintenance personnel while remaining actively involved in hands-on work. Work with Production and Engineering to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. Coordinate contractors, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and outside technical resources. Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects. Assist with maintenance planning, budgets, documentation, and maintenance KPIs. Collaborate with Kyocera Unimerco maintenance and technical teams internationally. What We're Looking For Strong hands-on industrial maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with CNC or comparable automated production equipment. Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or industrial control systems. Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to take ownership, set priorities, make decisions, communicate effectively, and earn the trust of others. Ability and willingness to guide, support, and develop other employees. A proactive mindset focused on preventing problems, improving equipment reliability, and finding better ways of doing things. Previous formal supervisory or management experience is helpful, but not required. Experienced technicians, team leads, and other technical professionals ready to move into leadership are encouraged to apply. Technical education in industrial maintenance, automation, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation. Strong planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with preventive maintenance programs, equipment projects, maintenance planning, budgets, or maintenance data/KPIs is a plus. Ability to work effectively with employees, management, contractors, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and international colleagues. Must be willing and able to work hands-on with production equipment in a manufacturing environment. Schedule flexibility may occasionally be required to support significant equipment issues or production needs. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for training, equipment projects, technical support, and collaboration with other Kyocera Unimerco locations.
