Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Superintendent to lead and manage our facilities maintenance operations across manufacturing or industrial sites. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal facility performance, safety, and compliance. As a Superintendent, you will drive team management initiatives, implement safety regulations, and coordinate complex projects to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a proactive maintenance culture that prioritizes reliability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards and company policies. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems, HVAC units, electrical systems (including high and low voltage), plumbing, and other facility infrastructure. Manage facilities maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset histories, and maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical systems repair, electrical troubleshooting (using tools like ohmmeters), schematics analysis, and HVAC system repair. Oversee the management of facilities projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Ensure compliance with safety procedures related to high voltage, electrical systems, industrial maintenance standards, and OSHA regulations. Manage facilities maintenance teams by providing leadership in team management practices, training on maintenance repair procedures, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Conduct inspections using tools such as schematics and ohmmeters to diagnose issues with electrical or mechanical systems. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs such as HVAC system repairs or plumbing system maintenance. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, safety incidents, and equipment records to support operational transparency. Experience Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams within manufacturing or similar environments. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including HVAC systems (both HVAC system repair and general HVAC knowledge), electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical issues using schematics and ohmmeters. Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols across large facilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes. Hands-on experience with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking. Mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management, training staff on maintenance procedures, and fostering a safety-first environment. Ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams; technical proficiency in engineering troubleshooting is a plus. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
