08/06/2026 Description The buildings and maintenance supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating facility maintenance activities, and ensuring the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of the College's buildings, infrastructure, and building systems. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the Director of Physical Plant Operations to support a safe, functional, and well-maintained learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Prioritize, schedule, and assign work orders and preventative maintenance activities based on departmental and institutional needs, as well as employee capabilities. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, applicable codes, and department expectations. Respond to facility emergencies, weather-related events, and critical operational issues, including outside normal working hours as required. Ability to utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), work order systems, and standard office software. Respond to facility-related service requests and communicate effectively with campus stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and project status.

Standard Working Hours:
Monday - Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Salary:
$4,167.00 per month. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge and experience in at least one of the skilled trade areas: carpentry, electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC systems. Ability to supervise personnel and coordinate maintenance activities. Hight School Diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop, grasp, reach, stand, kneel, walk and work in varying environmental conditions for extended periods. Supplemental Information Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes. The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.
